GPHA Paperless Committee Engages Departmental Staffs over going paperless

As part of its preparedness towards the September 1 paperless directive by the Vice President, the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority has commenced a sensitisation programme to educate all departments at the port.

The sensitization which is led by a GPHA paperless technical committee and the Marketing and Corporate Affairs department moved from one department to the other to inform staff of what is expected of them as well as solicit their input.

At the Golden Jubilee Terminal where devanning activities take place, the General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Esther Gyebi Donkor charged staff to respond promptly to electronic requests made by clearing and forwarding agents.
The team also proceeded to Terminal One, where staff were taken through the paperless process and what they should look out for.

The GPHA Paperless Committee also met with the port security department to sensitise them on their role in the paperless process.

The GPHA revenue collection centre which will be redundant when the paperless system starts was also visited by the committee members before finally engaging management of Tema Port.
Esther Gyebi Donkor charged staff to contribute their best towards ensuring that the paperless system achieves the right results.
